1. Introduction

Supabus ("we", "us", "our") provides an online suite of file conversion, calculation, developer, and text utilities (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. Supabus currently operates as an independent project rather than through a separate registered corporate entity; if that changes, this section will be updated with the operating company's legal name and registered address.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: email address, display name, and a hashed password when you register.
• Tool usage data: which tools you run, execution status, and duration, used for your account history and service analytics. Files you upload to a tool are processed to produce your result and are not retained beyond what is necessary to complete that request.
• Page-view data: the pages you visit, the referring page, and an approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from your IP address via our hosting provider's network - used for internal traffic and product analytics. We do not store your IP address itself, nor precise (GPS-level) geolocation. If you are signed in, page views are associated with your account.
• Billing data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details directly; we retain only the subscription status and non-sensitive identifiers needed to reconcile your account.
• Notifications and favorites: tools you mark as favorites and in-product notifications sent to your account.
• Technical data: IP address and request metadata, used for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and error monitoring (via Sentry, when configured).

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: provide and maintain the Service; authenticate you and secure your account; process payments and manage subscriptions; send you service-related notifications (e.g. email verification); monitor and improve reliability and performance; and comply with legal obligations.

4. AI-powered tools

Some tools (grammar check, rewrite, summarizer, translator) send the text you submit to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google, depending on availability) solely to generate your result. This text is sent for the sole purpose of producing that result and is not used by us for any other purpose. Each provider processes this data under its own respective API terms, which govern how long it may be retained and whether it is used to train that provider's models.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (e.g. our hosting provider, Stripe for payments, and the AI providers described above), or when required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Uploaded files are processed transiently and are not retained after your tool result is returned. You may delete your account at any time from your account page, which permanently deletes your account and associated data.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights over your data. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, data protection law (including the GDPR) gives you the right to access, correct, restrict, object to, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale - we do not sell personal information. You can access, export, or delete your data directly from your account page at any time, or contact us at contact@supabus.com for anything not available there.

8. Advertising and cookies

As of the date above, Supabus does not display any third-party advertising - no ad network script is loaded on this site. If that changes, the Service may in future display ads served by Google AdSense, in which case Google and its advertising partners would use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Before any ads are shown to visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, this section will describe the consent mechanism used. In the meantime, you can review Google's current ad-personalization settings at any time through Google's Ad Settings or, for participating third-party vendors generally, through aboutads.info/choices.
